MICROSOFT CITIZENSHIP SUPPORTS LAUNCH OF USA’S GIRLS IN TECH NIGERIA

As part of the commitment of software Giant Microsoft, to constantly lead in innovation and increase the penetration of technology in Africa, Microsoft Nigeria through its citizenship initiative supported the Launch of the US originated Girls In Tech for Nigeria. According to the Managing director of the Girls in Tech Nigeria Tosin Oguntuyi, the vision is to inspire, educate and empower women and girls to embrace risk and build on their entrepreneurial and innovative aspirations in technology fields.

In his words: “Partnering with organizations like Microsoft, a reputable company in the local and global tech space would greatly help in achieving our goals through their vast resources which can be channeled into empowering women and girls via our various programs”. “Also being aware that Microsoft runs a program with a vision in alignment with ours is an indication that we could do great things together in this space”, He Continued.

In his speech, Olusola Amusan, Citizenship Manager Microsoft Nigeria said, “Our commitment to transform the technology industry in Nigeria and empower individuals and businesses remains very strong”.

Microsoft Nigeria through its numerous citizenship involvements will continuously look for ways to transform the way people live, love and learn while contributing immensely to youth development and the overall National growth agenda.
